Greg and Roxy were ECSTATIC to be engaged after a time of dating and finding themselves and each other. They dated for awhile, made sure it was the right thing for them, clung to the God they loved and came to the conclusion that forever was the only option they wanted.
Greg and Roxy had broken up for a time during their dating years. At the time, the relationship was taking priority over their relationships with God. It was time to step away to figure things out. I have so much love and respect for them knowing they grappled with what God's will for them was as a couple. I believe they truly understand the implications of promising a covenant marriage to each other.
Spoiler Alert: they came back together and they grew stronger than ever. They clung to each other, prayed for each other and planned the life and the future they want to have together in the midst of difficulty. They teamed up to make everything work. Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful, filled with emotion, family, celebration, and the coffee, of course. Also, the ceremony was OUTSIDE, so it was cold! Wisconsin in November does not promise warmth (haha), but Greg and Roxy made it feel way warmer than the 35 degree weather.
One thing I learned over the course of working with Greg and Roxy is that they really wanted to re-establish the Gruber name in front of 250+ friends and family. Seriously... If you know them at all, they have never met a stranger, and of course, EVERYONE loves them. So it's no surprise their day was filled to the brim with wonderful guests.
Knowing they wanted to have a fresh start for the Gruber name, it was no surprise that the focus of the day became love and family. Throughout the toasts, vows, conversations, and the many many coffees, this theme kept arising. Honestly, it speaks to the love Greg and Roxy share and the connection they have with each other; they are truly joining families. It was beautiful.
